Job description
As a maintenance painter, you go out in Almelo and the surrounding area to keep buildings neat and maintain them on time. You almost always work with regular colleagues, so you know each other well and the work runs smoothly. The day starts with a clear plan and then you head to the job. You work both indoors and outdoors, so you have variety during the week. You receive workwear with your name on it and you join a down-to-earth, informal atmosphere where colleagues help each other and where you simply treat each other normally.
What exactly do you do as a maintenance painter? You make sure existing paintwork looks neat again. You prepare surfaces properly, sand and fill where needed and apply the right coats for a clean end result. You work neatly, pay attention to detail and you leave the workplace tidy. If you notice wood rot, wear or other points that need attention, you report it in time and deal with it right away. On site, you are in contact with others, so you communicate clearly and you think along if something can be done smarter or more efficiently. This way, as a maintenance painter you deliver work you can be proud of.
If you already have experience, you can quickly work independently as a maintenance painter. If you are mainly motivated and want to (further) learn the trade, that is also fine. You can work independently, but you see teamwork as just as normal. Dutch is useful for the job and for contact on site. Do you speak English? Then you can also apply, but it is important that you want to learn Dutch. If you need a Dutch course for that, we will pay for it.
