Conscious Aerospace is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Engineer Controls & Electrical, Fuel Cell Systems in our Engineering department.


Your Mission

You will play a key role in the development & integration of Hydrogen Powertrain technologies in a variety of aerospace applications. You will be part of a highly motivated team working in a fast-paced environment delivering pioneering engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as technical authority for control and electrical system designs/architectures, while fostering innovative and creative design solutions;

• Develop system requirements for control and electrical systems in an aircraft application based on project objectives;

• Design systems with architectures and interfaces that safely and effectively meet requirements;

• Develop, manage, and interpret testing for the purpose of product sign off and risk mitigation;

• Design system architecture and processes to connect key components including fuel cells, HV storage batteries, PLC’s, power electronics, sensor selection, system safety, etc;

• Provide onsite support during fuel cell system deployment customer acceptance testing;

• Coordinate and manage electrical, control, mechanical & hydrogen system suppliers in the development, integration, and testing of cooling, power generation and distribution systems related to our fuel cell products;

• Provide direction to other team members to facilitate construction and testing of the Fuel Cell products.

Your luggage

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering (or closely related field) is required. Master’s degree in a relevant field is an advantage;

• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience;

• Knowledge of structured system engineering processes;

• Demonstrated experience in high-voltage electrical systems or/and hydrogen storage systems engineering;

• Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: Hydrogen storage – hydrogen distribution, High Voltage Design, Combined HV and LV Architecture, DC/DC and AC/DC Power Conversion, Wire Harnesses, EMI Mitigation, & Electric Motors. Industrial PLC experience a plus;

• Demonstrated ability to understand complex engineering challenges and deliver timely solutions;

• System specs, traceability, and verification infrastructure knowledge;

• System functional test plans;

• High and low voltage electrical systems wiring schematics and architecture;

• System safety assessments, failure hazard analysis, and certification test plans;

• Strong communication skills and experience working under pressure in a small high performing team;

• Occasional travel to suppliers and industry events;

• Occasional travel in and out of out of country to customer sites.
