Profile
The Junior Merchandiser is an early-career professional who supports the team across both day-to-day operations and seasonal activities. This role is suited to an individual who is eager to learn, develop, and grow within a merchandising function.
- Operates at an early career stage, focused on learning and providing support.
- Contributes to both seasonal cycles and daily merchandising activities.
- Demonstrates a hungry, humble, and proactive mindset.
- Works as an apprentice within the team, actively learning from more experienced colleagues.
- Continuously develops product knowledge and merchandising expertise.
Responsibilities :
- Market & Category Expansion: Conduct competitor benchmarking, including collection reviews and pricing analysis.
- Product Creation: Oversee and maintain the PLM system to ensure accurate product data.
- Range Planning & Lifecycle Management: Perform hindsight and data analysis to support range planning, buy management (BM), and product lifecycle (PLC).
- Line Architecture: Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making during key milestone activities.
- Assortment Building: Manage SMS sample handling and support milestone preparation.
- Milestone Management: Assist in document and sample preparation across key stages.
- Go-to-Market: Support milestone preparation, sales analysis, selling tools, and showroom setup.
- Team Development: Demonstrate strong self-management and a proactive, curious approach to learning.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a motivated and curious individual with:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience within the fashion or retail industry.
- Basic understanding of merchandising principles and processes.
- A willingness to learn, observe, and develop leadership capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Proactive mindset with good problem-solving abilities.
- Genuine interest in fashion and a natural curiosity to learn and improve.
